vaccinations

cats should be vaccinated in any case! you even should consider to vaccinate an indoor cat, as most of the boarding kennels require a valid vaccination certificate. your cat might catch a decease not only in cat to cat contact but also via secondary sources like fleas, mice etc. vaccination standards may vary depending on where you are located. please ask your vet, which one is recommended in your country.

common vaccinations against the following diseases are:

  • feline panleucopenia
  • cat flu
  • feline leukaemia
  • rabies
    (in countries where rabies is present)

kitten

  • first vaccination
    at 9 weeks
  • second vaccination
    at 12 weeks
  • first booster
    at 15 month

adult cat

  • primary course
    2 vaccinations about 2 to 4 weeks apart
  • booster
    every 12 month
